10. Wing Assembly Process I

9. Wing Assembly

The airfoil is assembled by several crossectional plates.
There were three additional servo motor stands were mounted on the airfoil. The servo motor is to control the aileron and flaps of the wings.

8. Engine Housing Assembly Process IV

Glue the top cover.

7. Engine Housing Assembly Process III

Mount the servo motors.

Test the servo motor with the radio controller.

Install the landing gear and the engine stand.

6. Engine Housing Assembly Process II

The Engine Housing was composed of several wall plates, servo motor stands, and other interior structure.

All the plates were connecting with each other by defined holes. The strength/weigth was thoughtfully considered in the design.

5. Engine Housing Assembly Process I

Glue the component, a servo motor stand.

The door of the landing gear, at the bottom of the Engine Housing.

The wall plates of the Engine Housing, before assembly process.

4. Engine Housing

This is the completion of the Engine Housing showing in the exhibition.

I was briefing the design with the curator of the exihibition.

3. Wood plates by Laser Cutter

It took me three plus weeks of continuous day-and-night works to complete the deail design of the aircraft. Then, it took another three days of after-hour night working using a Laser cut machine to generate these wood plates by one of my brother's classmates' father. It was an exciting moment when I see these plates coming out from the machine.
