2. 3D Solid Modeling Design

The Enterprise is a civil airplane with two propellers on each wing. The picture below is a conceptual design of the plane.


This is the detail design of the fuselage. You'll see all the plates connecting with each other to form the structure of the body. There are some circular holes in these plates to maintain a proper strength/weigth ratio.


Below is a wing design, which including an engine housing and the airfoil. The airfoil design is key to the lift of the plane. It was composed of serveral crossectional plates to define the form of the airfoil, and the poles of aluminum and carbonate fiber materials to maintain the strength of the wing.


This is the interior design of the engine housing. The engine to drive the propeller is put on the front side of the housing. The middle section is for the landing gear and also the servo motors and other electronic devices to control the speed of the engine and the movement of the landing gear.


Below is the empennage. Rudder and elevator will be added to control the direction and elevation of the plane.
